The GNU Free Documentation License (GNU FDL or simply GFDL) is a copyleft license for free content. It is the open content counterpart to the GNU GPL and is being used e.g. by Wikipedia. However, the full license must always be printed with the document and there are legal incompatibilities with the original GPL license for software.
